One consistent eye catcher in Spain was the rooftops of the towns. While looking at the classic expansive view of Toledo, I decided to zoom in a bit and capture more of the simple but excellent detail of the city.

The beautiful city of Toledo. I liked that city for a weekend escape. All those small roads, the classic stores. Also I heard summer there gets really hot.

I was taking a smaller road to save some time getting to Toledo and found these windmills entirely by mistake. The best happy accident I've ever found. Love these Quixote Trail windmills on the hills outside Consuegra, Spain. An almost perfect blue sky gave a wonderful balance to the brown, yellow of the hillside scrub. One of my favorite days ever. Shot on slide film, Canon A2E.

A row of 12 windmills line a hillside ridge to the south of Consuegra, Spain. Built in the 19th century to grind flour, they are the local favorite for watching the sunset. The Castillo de Consuegra has great views and a bird of prey exhibit. It makes for an interesting history lesson south of Madrid on the way to Cordoba.

I was walking all day with my camera shooting random stuff… It was a foggy day in Madrid but it was amazing to try some shots with the sky’s soft light. Here is one of my favorite shots. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed my walk. https://www.behance.net/gallery/48107607/Into-the-fog

Walking around Madrid, going full tourist mode. I took a moment and sit down on a bench in front of the Alcalá gate to admire all the selfie sticks, tourists. In that moment, I looked back only to find my mom becoming one. I know you been there.
